The Curates Egg

Latest News

On June 17th I was licensed as Priest in Charge of Paul. It was a wonderful evening and as well as many local people there it was great to see anumber of peolple from Dursley who had made the long trek south. One nice coincidence of moving here is that my new rural dean is Howard Peskett who was vice principal at Trinty while I was there.

In the photo Howard is on on the left next to Bishop Roy, then me, then Archdeacon Roger and in the disistance you can see St Michaels Mount.

Four days afterwards Diane and I were due to go to France for a week but we delayed it two days so I could be in Paul for my first Sunday. We did go straight afterwards however and had a good few days celebratng a friends 50th birthday. Highlight of the trip for us was riding up Mont Ventoux on the back of our friend's motorbikes!

Family News

Diane has been working for the last two years as the assistant manager in the retail side of an interior design company. She has worked full time since we moved to Dursley (including for a monastary and a Royal Household!) and will need to find something down in Cornwall but for the time being is focusing on getting the house straight and settling us in. Here is a rare picture of her relaxing (on our holiday to the Lake district last year) .
